Question 2

Do I need to refrigerate these probiotics?

Accepted Answer

Our SBOs arrive dormant and are stable at room temperature, without refrigeration.

Question 3

Why should I give my gut support?

Accepted Answer

Fact: Most Americans don't consume enough probiotics in their diet due to modern processed foods, soil depletion and more. I believe most people are in need of probiotic support. Here's why: Thanks to prescription antibiotics, high carbohydrate diets, fluoridated tap water and high levels of stress, the good bacteria in our guts are often diminished, and our bodies can't replace them at the rate required for optimal health. Many probiotics health benefits are gut- and digestion-related, so here are a few key reasons why gut health, in general, is so important to overall health: - Up to 80% of the immune system is housed in the gut. - Between 80% to 90% of the body's serotonin, often referred to as a feel good or happy chemical which acts as a neurotransmitter, is found in the gut. Serotonin is thought to have many effects on the body, including the areas of digestion, sleep, memory, behavior and more. - Every bodily cell, tissue and organ depend on proper nutrient absorption and assimilation of food through healthy digestion, and, generally speaking, probiotics can play a supporting role in that.

Question 4

When will I start to notice a difference?

Accepted Answer

Everyone is different, and will have a different experience when using the products. We suggest giving any new product a chance for 90 days. However, some people will experience digestive support soon after they start.

Question 5

What is the right amount of CFUs to be getting every day?

Accepted Answer

It varies. For most people, I recommend a CFU count anywhere between 25 to 100 billion. Our SBO Probiotics Trinity brings you a 40 billion blend of prebiotics, proprietary probiotics, postbiotics and parabiotics.

Question 6

Generally, what makes soil-based probiotics different from other types of bacteria and yeasts?

Accepted Answer

Soil-based organisms are often stronger than other forms of bacteria since they don't require refrigeration (meaning they're shelf-stable) or any special handling. They can generally survive the journey through the stomach to the intestines. Soil-based organisms are typically able to seed the digestive tract with beneficial bacteria which can grow and flourish to support health, including supporting healthy digestion and a healthy immune system.†

Question 7

What's the best time to take probiotics?

Accepted Answer

To help support absorption and colonization in the gut, we recommend taking probiotic capsules (or gummies) on an empty stomach, either when you first wake up or right before bed (roughly 2–3 hours after your last meal).

Question 8

What do prebiotics, postbiotics, and parabiotics do and why did you include them?

Accepted Answer

Prebiotics are typically fiber compounds that act as fertilizer for probiotics. They help probiotics thrive in your system. Rather than using an insoluble fiber or starch, our prebiotic blend is made up of a superfood fruit blend called the triphala fruit blend. It’s been used in Ayurvedic tradition to support overall gut and digestive health. You’ve probably heard of prebiotics and probiotics, but postbiotics are just becoming more widely known. Postbiotics are produced through the fermentation process carried out by beneficial probiotic bacteria. Recent research shows that postbiotics can be just as beneficial when it comes to supporting your gut. Parabiotics are also relatively new. They are compounds that contain inactivated unused parts of probiotics. Some studies show that parabiotics can create a favorable environment for good bacteria to grow. They’re believed to help nourish and positively influence the microbiome. Ancient Probiotic Trinity contains a proprietary, clinically studied blend of postbiotics and parabiotics to bring you our most well-rounded probiotic yet.

Question 9

What are the differences between SBO Probiotics, SBO Once Daily Probiotics, Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics and SBO Probiotics Trinity?

Accepted Answer

SBO Probiotics and SBO Probiotics Once Daily All of our SBO Probiotics formulas contain strains of soil-based organisms or SBOs, which are incredibly resilient and effective probiotics. Both SBO Probiotics Once Daily and SBO Probiotics are designed to support digestive health†, plus provide additional benefits beyond the gut. The formulas include time-tested, carefully chosen botanicals that have been traditionally used to support everything from mental clarity to gut health.† Our SBO Probiotics products (including Gut Restore†, Ultimate, Men’s and Women’s) contain a higher amount of Saccharomyces boulardii than the Once Daily products. Saccharomyces boulardii is a beneficial, tropical species of yeast ingredient that works as a probiotic to help support overall gut health and function.† It’s one of the few yeasts that survives best at the human body temperature, which helps it survive and thrive in the microbiome. SBO Probiotics Ultimate also contains the highest colony-forming unit (CFU) count of all our probiotics products, at 50 billion CFUs* per serving. The SBO Probiotics Once Daily products each contain 25 billion CFUs*. Each product offers targeted support for specific areas in addition to digestive health: they focus on mental clarity†, vaginal health†, healthy immune system support†, men’s health and women’s health. Our SBO Probiotics also include the strain Bacillus clausii, which is not in the Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics line. SBO Probiotics also have more herbs and nutrients in their formulas. That’s because Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics only have a 5% allowance of non-Regenerative Organic Certified® material. We had to be very selective with our ingredients to meet the Regenerative Organic Certified® requirements, so we chose to focus on including powerful myceliated mushroom ingredients from our founder-owned farms. Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics Our Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics are the first-ever triple certified line of products that are: Non-GMO, Certified Organic and Regenerative Organic Certified®. This certification goes beyond organic status to demand the highest standards in history for soil, animals and people. The Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics contain 95% of ingredients (excludes capsule and probiotic cultures) grown under the guidance of our founders on their Regenerative Organic Certified® farms as well as ingredients from other Regenerative Organic Certified® farms. It also means that 95% of the ingredients are produced on one or more of the farms located in Tennessee or Missouri as well as other Regenerative Organic Certified® farms. The remaining 5% are inactive ingredients, like the ingredients for the capsules. In addition, every single Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics formula has beneficial mushroom mycelium ingredients. Mushrooms are typically a great way to ferment these ingredients and are a source of prebiotics and postbiotics. While our SBO Probiotics lines only include SBO probiotics, our ROC™ Probiotics formulas also include lactic acid bacteria (LAB) cultures. These formulas combine a variety of 10 diverse probiotics strains. Soil-based organisms are generally more survivable than live cultures, which is why there are 10 strains of probiotics, including a yeast that functions as a probiotic and LAB probiotics in our Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics as well as SBOs. Our SBO Probiotics have three strains and one beneficial yeast. Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotics varieties feature anywhere between 25 billion and 50 billion CFU1 per serving. SBO Probiotics Trinity SBO Probiotics Trinity also contains almost entirely SBO probiotic strains. In addition, it contains Lactobacillus LB fermentate, a proprietary, clinically studied blend of postbiotics and parabiotics. Postbiotics are produced through the fermentation process carried out by beneficial probiotic bacteria, and recent research shows that postbiotics can be just as beneficial when it comes to supporting your gut. It offers 20 billion CFUs* probiotics and 20 billion parabiotics. SBO Probiotics Trinity also includes a Prebiotic Blend composed of an Ayurvedic superfood fruit trio called the triphala blend, which is an herbal combination used for thousands of years to support overall gut and digestive health. It consists of three Indian fruits: amaliki or amla berry (known for its cooling effect), bibhitaki (used to help maintain balance within the body) and haritaki (known for its heating nature). 1At Expiration Date under recommended storage conditions. *at time of manufacture

Question 10

What do each of the probiotic strains do?

Accepted Answer

Bacillus coagulans is an incredibly resilient SBO probiotic strain that is actually activated in the harsh, acidic environment of the stomach. It helps support gut function and reduces occasional gas, bloating and constipation, as well as helps maintain healthy gut microflora, healthy bowel transit time† and more. Bacillus subtilis is naturally found in the environment and plants. It’s a tough strain that helps support a healthy immune system and inflammation response.† Bacillus clausii, like the other strains, has the unique ability to withstand harsh environments that other probiotics can’t. It’s been used in Europe for over fifty years and helps to support digestive health. Saccharomyces boulardii is actually a yeast, but it acts as a probiotic. It helps support a healthy immune system, regular bowel function† and more. It’s also one of the few yeasts that survives best at human body temperature, giving it the capacity to thrive in the gut.

Question 11

What is the parabiotic and postbiotic blend?

Accepted Answer

Question 12

What is the fruit blend and why did you include it?

Accepted Answer

The fruit blend included in SBO Probiotics Trinity is called the triphala fruit blend. It acts as our prebiotic blend. The triphala fruit blend has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic tradition to support overall gut and digestive health. It consists of three Indian fruits: Amaliki or amla berry, known for its cooling effect, vitamin C and polyphenols content Bibhitaki, used to help maintain balance within the body and support elimination processes, helping to promote healthy bowels Haritaki, known for its heating nature and called the “king” of fruits because of its reputation for supporting health

Question 13

Are your products produced in a facility with allergens?

Accepted Answer

We now have a disclaimer that is on ALL of our products: "Produced on equipment that may also process peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soybean, wheat, sesame, shellfish, fish, egg." This is a voluntary disclaimer and our formulations have not changed. Our manufacturers are required to have Policies and Procedures in place when it comes to handling and processing allergens. These allergen programs are in place to prevent cross contamination after each run by proper cleaning procedures. Allergen swab testing is also done after running an allergen containing product. We test finished products for allergens prior to designating as “Free” of. We also follow cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) which helps maintain allergen segregation.
